Specialist Opportunities

Students receive instruction from specialists in the areas of Spanish, Music, Art, Technology, Library and Physical Education. These specialists are excellent teachers who enrich our standard curriculum.  For students in grades 4-6, leadership opportunities are provided through Student Council. Twice each year, students elect representatives to choose outreach projects and other enrichments days for the entire student body. We also offer enrichment classes through our After-School Programs which are taken on a paid basis. In the past we have offered classes from outside professionals such as cooking, karate, robotics, and guitar. Two enrichment trips are taken, one to Astrocamp in grade 5, the other is to Outdoor School in grade 6. ​​There are many athletic opportunities at Bethany. Fifth and sixth graders are encouraged to join our after-school sports program where teams engage with other schools in the area. Sports include basketball, soccer, flag football, and volleyball.  On occasion, we pull from grade 4 as well.
